Pope Benedict XVI reasserted the primacy of the Roman Catholic Church, approving a document released Tuesday that says other Christian communities are either defective or not true churches and that Catholicism provides the only true path to salvation.

It is best that no church or religion go down this path, lest they be taken as a fanatic, fool or just plain loonie. Who can ever say there is only one church and how can anyone think in such focused terms?

Lets look at this logically. 6 billion people live on this earth and no more than 1 billion of them are catholic. Now about 2 billion might not have any specific religion per say, so the statement above creates the image that you are pronouncing 3 billion people as stupid for believing in another religion.

Why do you do this? Will this increase your flock since you are the “true religion”, No. Will smart people leave your flock since this labels your fanatic statements as fruitless? Yes. Why would the Pope and the Catholic church play the “crazy” card?

Over the last 10 years religion has taken a turn, turning people away from their faith, not strengthening it and there is a purpose. Fake religions, gay pastors, the pulpit telling people how to vote. The taste is astounding, and it is not going away. Rightly, we are prophetically moving towards end times as religions show face and or people are getting smart enough to see through their smoke and mirrors…
